Innovative Solutions to Environmental Issues
In the 2000s, the company had annual sales of $25 million a year and invested more than $7 million upgrading its earth-moving machines to run on computer controlled, low-exhaust emissions diesel engines. Dwire estimates his company’s efforts have eliminated the number of emissions that 20,000 cars would produce on the streets every day. Dwire was a pioneer in diesel exhaust control issues. Since then, the industry as a whole has gone as far as tier 4 engines which many of Dwire’s new equipment currently run. These new diesel engines are virtually smokeless.
